Focusing on the information gap and supply and demand mismatch in the current food and food waste prevention ecosystem, we utilize the potential of Web 2 principles and emerging AI technology to create a nationally optimized free market for food waste
VISION
An International Network that Optimally Reduces and Allocates Wasted Food
1) We aim to provide a platform that displays all wasted food related information to optimize the decision making process and actions of producers, recipients and stakeholders of it

2) We aim to first directly then through an AI model match supply and demand of wasted food and related resources, transportation of it and storage capacity.

Implementation Plan
To expand regionally, nationally then internationally while spreading awareness about food waste, we will, nationwide, create and expand local networks of suppliers, recipients, and transporters of food waste by leveraging partnerships with highschoolers intersted in sustainability, entrueprenurship or the planet


Product
Currently we provide a platform that connects producers of food waste with potential recipients at a discounted service fee, where, by pooling locations of food waste together, we can negotiate discounts for the suppliers from recipients such as composting companies.

In the future we hope to act as a free market for all food waste related information.
Building Userbase
We have been building an initial userbase through cold calling and going door to door.
To further expand and optimize, we will leverage partnerships with other high schoolers.
Once our platform functions akin to a free market, more stakeholders will be incentivized to join because listings on our platform will be able to solve their problems.


Spreading Awareness
We hope to spread awareness about food waste by hosting events at schools, presenting at sustainable conventions, publishing articles/research, and further expanding our operations by being featured in local, regional and national media.
Financing
Funding will mainly be used to reduce the hassle and costs of donating food waste, i.e minimize service fee or providing a pickup service for food waste.
Initially funding will be achieved through grants and awards; however, we hope to create a sustainable cashflow through charging commissions from profitable recipients and displaying ads for food waste prevention companies, i.e fridgecam.
